Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are licensed, bonded, and insured. You are in good hands! We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
What do you do?
We are a full-service estate sale company We begin with a free consultation, a walk through of the home, and discussion about the contract. We stage the home using our expertise and equipment to accentuate the home, making it welcoming to buyers; i.e., shelving, tables, unique and vintage tablecloths, lighting, and accessories. After we beautifully stage your home, we conduct the sale with our knowledgeable staff. Lastly, we handle the clear out and donation distributions should you choose that.
How long have you been in the industry?
Between the two of us, we have over 25 years of combined experience in the resale and estate sale industries. We LOVE what we do!
What is your commission rate?
It depends on the unique details of your sale, like the size and type of estate and the services you may need. We will walk you through how our commission structure works and any additional costs during the consultation.
What is your timeline?
We strive for the best results, setting up a sale may take up to two weeks depending on size. We can discuss this during the free consultation and get you scheduled.
Can I occupy the house during the setup of the sale or the sale itself?
No. To ensure a smooth and successful sale for everyone involved, we require that our clients not be present at the house during the staging process or for the sale itself. Parting with belongings can be emotionally difficult. We want to create a space where you can focus on your well-being during this transition without the added pressure of the sale.
Our teams work efficiently to set up and conduct the sale. Having the homeowner present can unintentionally slow down the process. For safety and security reasons, it is best to minimize the number of people with access to the house during this time. Ardent, however, will require unrestricted access to the home during setup and the sale.
Additionally, when customers feel comfortable browsing freely, they are more likely to ask questions and make purchases. Having the homeowner present can sometimes create an awkward atmosphere for them.
